Just catching up on your blog and wanted to answer the knitting in public question. I do most of my knitting in public out of necesity due to young children tearing around the house, or in the car outside the kids' school while the baby naps. The only problem I have had was while I was in the Barnes and Noble on Court Street in Brooklyn Heights someone asked me for the time and I pulled my needle out of a bunch of stitches when I reached for my cel phone to look at the clock. No harm done but it really did mess with my Groove.

Beautiful scarf - it's a pattern I've been looking at a lot too. Hmmm....where are those beads?....
